When Your Mind Wanders

When your mind wanders
Consumed you will become
As if buried under the cold dirt
Your shattered soul
Will struggle to emerge
Desperately crawling out
Of the bloody pit
That it dug itself into;

Leaving behind any and all thought
She lifts herself
Hand after hand
Up over the ledge
Only to find the murdered man
She fled from for so long
Now face to face with his very myth
Hot breath blown across her own
She closed her eyes.

Had a moment of muddled self today… Maybe a little simplistic but to me it arises little known thoughts and desires with the swift ideals of sadness. Provoking the silence is fairly representative of how I see it.
